Dakota is a licensed acupuncturist with a master’s degree from Colorado Chinese Medicine University. Her academic and clinical training are rooted in a deep commitment to community wellness and integrative, time-honored healing practices. Her path to Chinese medicine was inspired by a lifelong desire to help others live healthier, more connected lives. With additional education and hands-on experience working closely with families and young children, Dakota brings a gentle, developmentally informed approach to her care. As a trained doula, she offers a strong clinical focus on emotional well-being and full- spectrum reproductive support—including fertility, prenatal, and postpartum care.

Dakota is known for her warmth, clinical precision, and her ability to listen with empathy. She is especially attuned to the interplay between emotional and physical health, and her treatments reflect this holistic perspective—supporting not just symptoms, but the whole person. Her areas of clinical interest include psycho-emotional wellness, hormonal balance, prenatal and postpartum care, and support for chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Aleia Tipton is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and the proud owner of Deschutes Acupuncture. She is passionate about helping people achieve their best quality of life through safe, effective, and personalized care. In addition to acupuncture and herbal medicine, Dr. Tipton integrates nutrition, mindfulness, manual therapy, and movement into her treatments, empowering patients to reach their unique health goals.

Her educational journey began at the University of Oregon and the University of Tarapacá in Northern Chile, where she studied integrative medicine and International Public Health. She went on to complete both her Master’s and Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) at Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California. She became one of only 7% of acupuncturists in the United States to earn a doctoral degree in the field.
